The Export dialog box has big limitations, such as adding borders, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it in Lightroom Classic.
This is the first tutorial in a series of videos in which you’ll learn how to create awesome designs right in Lightroom Classic, without using any plugins.
Advantages of exporting from the Print and Slideshow modules
If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the intro video to this series, in which I explain why you should consider using those modules to export pictures for websites and social media.
I’ll show you a few examples of what you cannot do in the normal export dialog box, as well as what kind of designs and layouts are possible in the Print and Slideshow modules.
Specific size/aspect ratio and borders
Why use Photoshop or 3rd-party apps to add simple borders to your images when you can do it right from Lightroom Classic?
In the first tutorial in this series, you will learn how to export images in a specific aspect ratio and size (without cropping your original image), add borders and create square images, which are a nice way to make your Instagram grid look great.
Let me know here or in the comments below the video if you have any questions regarding this topic or any other thing you’d like to learn in Lightroom.
